Upcycle City 7th -13th November

New collaborative work by Fiona Henderson and Cambridge-made label Q Here. Extended opening hours – Open Friday-Wednesday!

Earlier in 2013, Fiona Henderson and Ruth Schmid were with other artists and designers from the Cambridge Art Salon, chatting over cocktails at 196 on Mill Rd., and what started as fulfilling a rush order of custom made bags, led to them both collaborating further on Ruth’s Q Here label.

Both city residents, cyclists, creatives, and inspired by imaginative waste-users worldwide, Ruth and Fiona’s collaboration has resulted in some new unique, quirky, upcycled pieces that reflect a Cambridge lifestyle.

So now, alongside Ruth’s well known signature bags and accessories, made from used advertising banners and cycle innertubes sourced locally around town, there are some playful new departures.

Come along to the welcoming opening party from 6.30pm Friday 8^th, and enjoy delicious treats from Urban Larder ( the café on Mill Rd is also showcasing Q Here upcycled products)

Show stays open throughout the weekend 9^th – 10^th November so indulge, browse and enjoy.

‘Animals & Nature’ Jo Clark 25-30th October 2013

Jo will be showcasing her new work along side her ever growing range of characterful animal cards, and decorative floral prints. This is a perfect opportunity to get stocked up with some extra special gifts for Christmas, including this years latest products some lovely tea towels, featuring ‘The Tea Owls’ as well as mugs, cushions, calendars and much more.

Come along and enjoy a glass of wine with us on the opening night at 7pm Friday 25^th October, looking forward to meeting you then.

There will also be a fun ‘make an animal mask’ workshop for children on 12noon – 2pm Saturday 26^th October. This is a great chance for young children to have a go at drawing and colouring in their very own animal mask.

The Exhibition explores some of the certainty and uncertainties of life. Their work encourages explorations of difference and similarity:
Catherine volunteered as a wildlife and conservation photographer, documenting flora and fauna whilst on safari in Africa, while Daisy chronicled goings-on closer to home.
